I started this project in summer 1997. Around 1998/99 I began to rework the lego-libs for povray 3.1. As a very nice feature all bricks should have really round edges to make them look really realisic. Unfortunately since 1998 my study left no time to continue.

Now it's summer 2002. I've finished the rework of the bricks! Now almost all edges are really round, so that the reflections on these edges create a much more reallistic look than used from straight forward CSG with plain boxes and cylinders. Because of the considerable quality improvement, you will not find anything of the old bricks any more on these pages.

Spring 2006: Added a new brick (chain element) and respective animation :) Brings the project a little step further towards the virtual Lego/Povray Coal Excavator from the coal mines near my home town - They are probably the biggest moveable machines in the world.
